"I have strong and luscious veins, and will always be looked after by a nurse who can get the canula in first go!"
This morning the "tear monster" snuck up on me while I was drying my toes of all times/places! The reality of the disease and treatment have caught up with me I suppose. Up until now, I've been relatively well - the drugs have been side-effect free - except for not sleeping (i just got to do more stuff) and the keyhole/shovel attack on monday (that I'm still healing from). Chemo. It even sounds scary today. I've never been really sick before, and I know I can be a right pain-in-the-arse with a self-inflicted hang-over. So, being a "fair-dinkum patient" is going to be a challenge for me .........
"I will be a GRACIOUS patient, who always says please and thank you, and will only use the F-Bomb in extreme circumstances!" (It's unrealistic to think I would never say it!)
Overnight - I got some lovely drawings from Julian (8) and Anna (4), who did these all on their own - thank you guys!

From the viewpoint of somebody who has been in Glens position, keep yourself busy. Warn everybody if they put you on steroids in the preparation phase of your chemo, nothing worse than a woman with 'roid rage:-)

I am not glad the Tear Monster attacked you but I am glad that you now know what we have all been worried about - YOU our "best friend", mate, sister or just really special person in all our lives that we love dearly.
Hang in their Mate and You are the strongest person I know that can handle this - hang on to that love Jo, Tim and the girls
